Abe started coming to Lynchburg Salsa in 2014. In high school he learned how to ballroom dance at a dance academy in Illinois and would go to a local supper club with friends to practice his skills. When he isn’t dancing with his two girls in the kitchen, you’ll find him on the dance floor at Lynchburg Salsa teaching along side of Genette (his wife) or greeting all the new dancers at the door.
Genette started coming to Lynchburg Salsa in Fall of 2010 and hasn't stopped. Starting as someone who came to the social events and learning the steps, to becoming an instructor, meeting her now husband in 2014 and then taking over ownership in January 2017, it’s been a great adventure. Outside of Lynchburg Salsa she is a wife, mother of 2 little girls, and the owner of Genette Dahlby Weddings & Dance.
Chelsea started coming to Lynchburg Salsa in 2016. She had learned salsa dancing in Mexico and found that Lynchburg Salsa reminded her of the Latin culture. It also turned into a fun hobby and a place where she met new friends. Chelsea has also done ballet, ballroom and on occasion you’ll find her calling for contra/colonial dances. She is looking forward to sharing her enjoyment of dance with others. When Chelsea isn’t dancing, you’ll find her at her sewing machine, writing or hiking.
